Test Architect for Tricentis Tosca

Welcome to your journey to become a Test Architect for Tricentis Tosca.

The Test Architect is an experienced, technical specialist who ensures that approaches, tools and techniques are built into a relevant methodology to achieve desired testing outcomes. The Test Architect should have strong knowledge of Tosca and is aware of its different components and functionalities. This role path takes 12.5 days, or 96.5 hours, to complete and consists of 6 courses.

Daily tasks of a Test Architect include:
     1. Designing and developing Test Automation Framework and Test Methodology
     2. Defining automation best practices, project structure and review process.
     3. Performing test infrastructure set up, upgrades and migrations
     4. Performing user management, project management, regular review, and maintenance of the test portfolio

This role path is suitable for Test Leads, Senior Software Engineers, or Senior QA Engineers with 3-5 years of Tosca and Testing experience. Specifically with deep technical knowledge, deep knowledge of software testing practices and automation techniques, deep technical knowledge of tools involved in the software testing lifecycle, knowledge of DevOps and CI-CD tools and integration capabilities of the tools, and finally, experience in building automation approach/strategies. 

There are numerous objectives covered in this role path. Upon completion of this path, Test Architects will be able to:
     1. Build test automation approach and strategies
     2. Define best practices and testing approach for the test portfolios
     3. Create and maintain end to end test cases and test data
     4. Define risk-based testing approach and risk weight the requirements
     5. Set up testing infrastructure that involves - Tosca Server, Distributed Execution, TDS, OSV, etc.
     6. Perform user management and project management using Tosca Server and Tosca Commander
     7. Integrate Tosca with Tricentis and external products
     8. Perform regular review and maintenance of the test portfolio to ensure best practices
     9. Define upgrade and maintenance approach and perform upgrades and migrations
