Welcome to the NeoLoad Product Consultant learning path for Tricentis delivery partners.

The Product Consultant learning path is required for implementation consultants working independently on implementation projects. Consultants within this role are able to conduct performance tests to assess the performance, scalability, and stability of Software Applications, design system architecture and infrastructure aligned with performance optimization strategies and ensure continuous optimization of the stability, scalability, and performance of Software Applications. This path takes 2.5 days, or 19 hours, to complete.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identify key performance metrics for both users and software systems.
  • Design performance test cases based on documented business transactions.
  • Identify and implement test data both within the user paths and in the SuT.
  • Design the performance scenario to reflect real-world production usage of the application.
  • Execute performance tests using NeoLoad and other specialized software tools, such as monitoring software.
  • Evaluate the results of the performance test, assessing the data against both business and technology criteria.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and report findings to key stakeholders.
  • Gather performance requirements for software applications.
  • Define performance test strategies in alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Design architecture of Software Applications compliant with performance goals and defined strategies.
  • Document and advocate for a proper data management strategy in dev and QA systems.
  • Conduct capacity planning based on forecasted performance needs.
  • Conduct review of System Architecture and Design to unveil performance bottlenecks.
  • Conduct deep analysis of System under Test environments to understand not only the presence of a potential bottleneck, but likely causes of the bottleneck.
  • Effectively communicate findings using supporting data from multiple different systems, such as monitoring software, source code management repositories, and continuous integration platforms.
  • Define performance improvement strategies, and aid in the implementation of performance engineering as a practice throughout all stages of the application delivery process.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to implement performance engineering practices while documenting the value of the effort over time.
